A Quick Update on this Blog

So, I don't function under the illusion that anyone actually reads this blog, maybe someday I will say something that will really force me to be wise and inspirational on a more regular basis. But for whatever reason, I will continue to post and try to create some energy around communicating in this space.

Yes, there are better platforms, yes, my blog looks like it has been run over by a truck, but hey, it helps me write, and think, and read and imagine, so I will keep it up.

I was thinking about what the schedule is that I have been maintaining and I thought I would come up with some ideas for each days posts. So, what follows are silly titles for the days of the week.

Mondays: Sermon Spotlight
These will be my sermons, posted for posterity purposes and if I get permission from the person who preached instead of me, I will post their sermon as well. If there is no post on a Monday it is because I didn't preach and the person didn't tell me I could post their sermon. Usually because I forgot to ask.

Tuesdays: The Lead Light
Each week we send out the Happenings Email, it used to be called "The Lampstand" we are thinking about returning to that tradition. Anyway, the main event of the email is the Lead Article, which is written by me on the first and third Tuesdays of the week, Chip Whitacre on the second Tuesday and one of the Wardens on the fourth Tuesday. If there is a fifth Tuesday, and as long as she is here, Nancy Dyson will write the lead article for that. In some places I have seen "lead" written as "lede" so if anyone can straighten me out on that, let me know.

Wednesdays: Edward's Echoes
We celebrate many, many saints in this tradition of ours, and since Edward was once a saint, but is no longer on the Episcopal list, I thought it would be cute to use Lesser Feasts and Fasts and put a spotlight on different saints the Episcopal Church has canonized. So, if you want to learn a little about different saints we like in the Episcopal Church, keep an eye here on Wednesdays.

Thursdays: Confessors Contemplations
I will try to reflect on the week that has past, or other issues that are arising, or political or global things that are happening. I won't pretend to be an expert, unless I am speaking on my Loons or St. Edward's. You can expect to laugh a little more on Thursdays will be my ultimate goal, but this won't always be the case. Like it says, I will take time to contemplate our world, our Church and all that is moving and shaping our lives.

So thanks for tuning in, and I hope you will consider making a comment now and again, that way we can "talk" and tell each other all sorts of fun and engaging things. I do hope you are blessed, and have a full and inspirational day.

Be well,
A+
